It was first launched on August 7, 2000 by Scott Jarkoff, Matthew Stephens and Angelo Sotira, amongst others. As of May 2009, deviantART Inc. consists of over 10 millions members, over 81 millions submissions, and receives around 105,000 submissions per day.
To better promote deviantART's talented artists, SHARP OBJEX will be conducting weekly (if not more) interviews with these various artists.
