It seems that there's a rapidly growing expectation that we will all be living in a post-apocalyptic future in the next 100 years or so.
I'll admit, I had the romantic dream that zombies might attack, and I might need to fight to stay alive in a run down city armed only with maltov cocktails and a shotgun (while running low on ammo).

After reading The Road and playing Fallout 3, I wanted to watch a post-nuke movie.

A friend at work told me about A Boy and His Dog.

This is the story of a boy named Vic and, yep, you guessed it, his dog, Blood.
The year is 2024 and World War IV has left the world in ruin.
The young man is, like most young men, horny.
His dog helps him find women in exchange for food.
This is not an ordinary friendship.
They have a telepathic bond.
The dog talks to him.
This is vaguely explained, which is good, in my opinion.
The story takes a turn when Vic finds a woman and travels to an underground city.

Some people might have a hard time with some of the satirical moments in the film.
Women are treated as objects due to how rare it is to find one on the surface.
Some might think this film is sexist...
I guess that all depends on if you think Monty Python is sexist.
If not, you're good.
I thought it was great.
This movie reminds me of Mad Max meets Brazil.
The ending is good too.
The world might end soon so check it out while you still have the luxury of owning a television.
