Erika Szabo "Blackheads"
Directed by: Chris Nash
Runtime: 14 min.
Screens Mon, Aug. 17, 7pm in front of feature film Vampire Girl Vs Frankenstein Girl
Everyone who saw Vampire Girl Vs Frankenstein Girl on Day 4 at TADFF has to have remembered that gross little short called "Blackheads." It’s exactly what it sounds like too, just check out the premise:
“While struggling with intimacy issues with his girlfriend, a man learns that he has just developed an unnaturally large blackhead in the middle of his back.”
What better way to kick off the night than to show this nasty little number? You’ll see everything from excessive amounts of puss to a sex scene with a hobo – this short was utterly ridiculous! The crazy thing was that the runtime for this film was less than 15 minutes. Each scene involved at least one explicit and/or gross moment, so there was a lot to look forward to, or be wary of – take your pick.
“Blackheads” was stomach churning and flat out hilarious – I couldn’t believe some of the things I saw in that film. What truly fascinated me most about it was that Tchaikovsky was played throughout and somehow fit with the premise perfectly. If you haven't already noticed, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. "Blackheads" was wrong on so many levels, but so damn good!
