"Git Gob"
Directed by: Philip Eddolls
Runtime: 1 min
Screened Wed, Aug. 19, 9.45pm, in front of feature film Rough Cut
"Git Gob" is the latest short film by Philip Eddolls, who’s well know for his previous Toronto After Dark entry “Wat A Wonderful Day,” dealing with a psychopathic/self-mutilating rabbit that likes to set things on fire. "Git Gob" isn’t as violent as “Wat A Wonderful Day,” but it's still just as wacky. "Git Gob" deals with two creatures arguing about whether or not a hole in the ground could actually be used as a hat. While the film is quite ridiculous, it does not disappoint in providing an incredibly entertaining film with easy to follow non-verbal dialogue and providing a great twist on our reality… what if a world could be worn…
Unfortunately, I felt a little let down by the film, mainly because I had heard so much about it beforehand. Even so, I still do think it was very enjoyable and quirky - "Git Gob" will definitely give you a good laugh.
