SONG OF THE WEEK: 8 BITS - MIND.IN.A.BOX

While listening to a darkwave internet radio station during a fantastic game of D&D I came across a futurepop, almost new wave, song by musician mind.in.a.box.  The song in question, 8 Bits, was unlike anything I had heard before --  a nostalgia-induced NES coma.  Afterwards, my boyfriend told me that he had the entire album, R.E.T.R.O, and that I should listen to it.  All I can say is that it's perfectly blended nostalgia, making you think back to the comadore 64 days, the cloak and dagger days, sweeping synths and keyboards making you feel like you are actually going back into the past. 

Released this past March, R.E.T.R.O has to be my new favourite album of the year and definitely worth checking out if your taste suits it. Check out 8 Bits here:
